Tungnath-Chandrashila-   Toppest  of all Nath Tungnath

Chopta-Chandrasilla trek is unique in that the peak can be submitted relatively easily in the winter and also acts as a day trek from Chopta via Tungnath in the summer. The summer trek to the peak is a short and pleasant trek and is often extended into a longer trek with an overnight halt at Chopta. The climb in the winter involves scaling and trekking on a rich route of flora and fauna,through meadows full of fresh snow. Relatively difficult, it requires mountaineering experience and requires a certain degree of skill.

Day 1 includes a 16km trek to Dugal Bitta from Deoria Tal, through dense forests of Chopta  is small beautiful place located at the mid of green bugyal with awseome scenic beauty.It is surrounded by dense oak and deodar trees, mostly you will find shower of rain and mist in this valley,after rain shower literally you will find golden sunrays in this place . Local villagers which are very friendly ,provide  simple food to toursit which is so energetic in this enviorment. Stay is also made at local dhabas. This route coonect to kedranth highway.

The Jouney of 4.5km starts by walk takes us to highest poistion of  nath Tungnath. The route is filled with amazing beauty of meados, wild flowers and patchhes of buransh trees. The scene changes with every turn on trek.One can hear vibration of bells as you reach near temple.The temple is 30ft height made in kedarnath style.

Chandrashila: is 200m above tungnath temple.Peak visible from chandrashila, panchacholi, chaukmba,kedarnth,badrinath,gangotri,yamunotri.

The route used is    Rishikesh – Rudraprayag -Okhimath – Chopta Access is from Dugal Bitta in winter Length :4km from Chopta to Chandrasilla; the distance increases by 4km in the winter Duration 4 – 5 days in the winter and a day hike in the summer, inclusive of summit
